GlossyBox!

I finally caved in and subscribed to GlossyBox!
Pretty glad I did as this month's box is an absolute treat! I applied at the end of May for the box so I've been waiting ages!

So, I thought I'd share a video with you all (as I'm sure all the other GlossyBox subscribers will) as I'm feeling lazy and can't be bothered to type! The products in the box amount to over £50, which I didn't mention, so it's honestly completely worth it, if you like the products!

Hope you're all well.

Enjoy!
(not sure why this video is going all over the place!)

Make-Up Swap!

So excited! I just received my package from the lovely, Sophie!
We've been emailing for a few weeks and decided to indulge in a make-up swap. There are some things here in the UK that Sophie wanted and there were some things in the US I wanted! (Which either of us can get in our countries...)

So, here's the beautiful package that got delivered today!

Warning: Picture heavy post!

Lovely packaging! and a sweet smell of cakes?!

Inside:
Sonia Kashuk Concealer Palette (which is the main thing I wanted!)
B&B Candle - Pineaplle Orchid (smells absolutely gorgeous, fruity and zingy)
Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush in Flower Girl (Sophie uses this as an upper cheek highlight, as will I!)
UD xxx Cooling Lip Gloss (Never tried an UD gloss, so this will be exciting!)
Wet n' Wild in Wineroom  (As I like grapey coloured lipsticks!)
Essence Lipliner in Soft Berry (Will use this for extra grapey lips!)
Wet n' Wild Eyeliner in Purple (Bold statement!)

UD xxx & Victoria Secret products.

Wet n' Wild lipliner and eyeliner.

Sonia Kashuk Concealer Palette and B&B Candle.

Wet n' Wild grape lipstick.

So that's what I got. I'm so happy too!
I'm super excited to try the Sonia Kashuk concealer palette as that was the main thing I wanted. Seeing loads of good reviews on it and not being able to get in the UK, I knew I wanted to try it. Therefore, I'll be sure to do a single post on it to show you what it looks like!

That's all I think. Gonna go and try out these products!
Adios! x

Big, bouncy and aussie.

Went shopping today with my friend Kate to Bluewater cruising with the roof down!
Picked up a few bits that I really shouldn't have seeing as my bank account doesn't look too pretty! But here they are:

I picked up this gorgeous mustard/yellow coloured bikini from Urban Outfitters for only £10!
It's by Cheap Monday and was reduced from £30. HUGE Bargain! The colour looks better in real life, but it was the mustard shade that made me pick it out! Bandeau style top and wide sided bottoms. Really love this! Seeing as I'm planning a holiday for this year, this will come in handy! I'd never really to think to look for a bikini in Urban Outfitters but glad I did now I've found this beauty!

The fairly new Caribbean Collection from Sleek! (Sorry about the finger dip!)
I saw this Pout Polish featured on another blog and thought I just had to get it! I feel like I can get away with orange colours so needed to try it haha! This orange SPF15 polish is called 'Bonaire' enriched with jojoba, avocado and sweet almond oil which glides on with a tint of orange glow to the lips. Really summery and really great for a quick lip pick-up! It's Limited Edition so if you like this, you better get it quick! I bought this in Superdrug for £4.49.
I was also after the Caribbean Collection Blush called Aruba. The colour looks really daunting in the pot, though with a light sweep, you get a lovely Coral hue!

L-R
Carex Hand Gel: I'm a bit obsessive when it comes to washing my hands, so figured this would be great to leave in my bag for a quick sproose up! You only need one pump for a whole cleanse. Also, this is a moisture plus, so makes it feel like you've properly washed your hands with gel and water! This was £1.40 from Boots.

Aussie Curl Definition & Soft Feel Serum: I got this in Superdrug as they were doing a '2 for £6' Aussie deal! I obviously couldn't refuse. I've been wearing my hair 'au naturel' lately and hardly straighten it. So it's in pretty good condition atm which I'm pleased about. My hair is naturally straight, but I wouldn't mind a natural wave some days, so picked this up! It's a serum that catches the curls in your hair to give them a full definition and soft feel. A coin size amount of the product is more than enough for your whole head, considering how much hair you've got. The smell is gorgeous and my hair felt instantly smooth when applied. I can already see small flicks and curls developing. So, a good buy!

Aussie Curl Defining & Shine Mousse: Just to match the other product I picked up this curl defining mousse. I thought it would work well with the other one for extra defined curls. Use this on damp hair and scrunch for curls. For EXTRA curls, once your hair is dry, use a curling iron to style! I think I'll use the Serum more, but then I've always got this as an option! Both products smell lovely!

Batiste Dry Shampoo Big & Bouncy XXL Volume: Oh my word, I can not emphasize how volumising this is! Bit of a horrible photo but I wanted to show you it actually works!
I honestly can't believe how volumising this is haha. (I better stop saying it!) I sprayed this into my roots, massaged and scrunched it a bit, and VOILA! Instant Boof! With an extra bit of hair spray, this boofyness won't drop. A-ma-zing. It's a bigger bottle than the ordinary Batiste at a price of £3.99 from Boots. Really glad I got this. Normally I only use Batiste on the days where I can't be bothered to wash my hair, but with these results, I think I'll be spraying it into my hair more often!

Aaaaand I think that's all! Does anyone know where I can get Morrocan Hair Oil from? Been hunting everywhere! Also, super excited to get my first Glossy Box this month. I finally gave in and subscribed!

Hope you're all well!

Free Benefit Gift with Glamour?!

So hopefully you all know this, or may be getting this as I write!

Glamour Magazine is giving away FREE Benefit gifts with their July issue Magazine!!!
If my friend Kirsty hadn't reminded me I would of missed out on this freebie! Seeing as I'm the most indecisive person in the world (everyone who knows me will agree) I decided that I couldn't just pick up one magazine with one freebie.
So... I picked up two. Oh dear.
Although! Glamour magazine is £2! So at this present moment, I could afford it! Plus... £2 for about £20 worth of products? VERY good!

(excuse the low quality picture!)

I picked up the magazines with the Benefit 'High Beam' and 'Posie Tint'.
I'm gonna be honest and say, I've actually never used a Benefit product. Which probably seems quite weird! So I thought this was a perfect opportunity, to pay a little price and try a product!
I always use a lip and cheek stain, so the 'Posie Tint' seemed like a good pick!
Now I'll probably compare this and my beloved Body Shop one!
The other magazine was with 'High Beam'. This is a 'luminescent complexion enhancer'. Again I've never used this nor have I tried a highlighter/illuminator before! So this will be a completely new one for me!

First impressions...

Very cute packaging!
Posie Tint's packaging looks so glamourous, so I can't wait to try it!
High Beam; bit weary as I've never tried a highlighter before!
Both of these are only 4.0ml, so they are perfect if you just want to 'try before you buy' (even though you've paid £2) Also great if you just want a mini version in your make-up bag! I'll probably keep mine in there if I like it! (I'm yet to try both!)

Posie Tint is more Pink than I thought it would be! But it does say 'poppy pink' on the box!
High Beam looks exciting now. Nice shimmery silver/peach colour!

This is probably the worst swatch as my camera wouldn't focus :(
But on the left is Posie Tint and the right High Beam.

Now I've undone both of the packages and checked them out, I am excited to try them!

I'm not sure why I've never tried Benefit products. Sometimes the names of what the products are called, put me off. I don't really like it when things have weird names, I'd rather they just say what the product does! But that's just my personal opinion I guess!
Who knows, my mind might be converted after trying these!

And for £2? You can't really complain!
If you've tried these 2 products please let me know what you think of them, as I am a Benefit newbie!

Speak soon!

(p.s page 200 in Glamour Mag for Benefit freebie advice!)

Have you tried Benefit products? If so, what ones?
Did you pick up the Glamour mag? What did you pick?

Wooden floors, walls and window sills...

So today, I've been none stop listening to The Cinematic Orchestra. If you haven't heard of these guys and like instrumental/orchestral music, check.them.out. Their another one of my favourites along with Sigur Ros.

I promised I was going to do a haul about a week ago so here it is. I must admit I'm slacking on the blogging a bit, so I better get cracking!
Last week I shopped till I dropped and bought a few bits.

Firstly, good ole BarryM nail polishes. I thought I'd get summery and choose some bright colours!

These colours are pretty average I think! Nothing overly special about them except they are bright! Orange one is called; Block Orange and the Red; Bright Red. I thought I'd get them as it's been sunny, however the weather has let us down today! Non stop rain!
I haven't tried these to yet as it just doesn't feel summery enough. I've got an interview Wednesday so I'll probably opt for my dusky mauve!.

I'll put a photo up what these babies look like when the weather perks up!

Reading blogs and watching other girlies on youtube, I noticed quite a few are talking about the new Vo5 products. The oomph powder especially. So I popped into Superdrug and had a little peek! Typically, they had a deal going on enticing us to spend more money! I think it was, buy 2 products for around £4.49? So instantly I picked up the powder!

So all you do with this, is sprinkle some of the powder on your roots. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about this and whether it would work, but it truely does! I'll post a before and after picture up when I've done my hair all properly for you to see!
But literally, all you do is tap a bit on, scrunch your hair and Voila.
Instant Oomph! (It smells quite nice too)

Then seeing as the deal was 2 items for £4.49, I picked up this Volume hair spray.
I thought it would be quite good to use along with the powder for extra oomph! Again, I'll post a photo of my hair when it's all pretty and what not. Also, this smells lovely too!
£4.49 for those 2 was pretty good I think...

This, you may not of seen before. I think this product is great. I'm all for hair removal, anything new or old! I'll try it. It's hard to describe this tool and exactly what it is. What you do, is take one of those punk strips and stick it on the purple tool. After that you're ready to use the hair remover. (I'll let you into a secret and tell you I use this on little places like... my knuckles!) I like my hands to look pretty, especially if you're meeting someone and intervene in a hand shake. Always nice to look prepped! So I use this little tool. Personally, I haven't tried to use this on my face but I think I'll give it a go seeing as it is for that!

I bought this from a small Savers shop for around £2-3. The pink strips last for ages too, seeing as small areas are the main object.

If you can get your hands on one of these, give it a go. They are really good, especially if you've got hair where you don't want it!

Again, this is another 'Silki(y)miz(t)
But this one is for your legs. I used this the day I got it and the results are brilliant. I didn't think it would work as well as it did, nor make my legs as smooth as it did! If you're in a hurry or just forget to shave your legs, this is perfect. Just a small mit (I don't wanna put you off but the texture of the paper is quite rough!) however when you rub it on your legs, it is ultra smooth and the results are smoother! Again this was around £2-3 and you get 3 in a pack!

Surprise! Another hair remover. Easy peasy, wax strips! I also cut these up and use them for different areas! I buy these as I just find it much cheaper than going to a salon. The more I do it the better I become! I bought quite alot of these as I use them ALL the time. In this pack you get 40 re-usable strips. But really, that's 80 as they are double sided! I got these from Boots for about £9.59. Seemed quite a lot at the time but if I use them regularly, may aswell buy them in bulk!

And lastly, I bought a new ring from H&M. This was £4. I saw it in Oxford Street and couldn't decide whether to get it! So I left it. Yet picked it up in my local H&M at Lakeside. I may do a post of all my rings seeing as I have a ridiculous amount!

(Oh and my latest nail design!) :)

Oh and just another one!
My eye make-up for the day!

These colours are from my Urban Decay Naked palette.

The black is 'Creep' and the gold is 'Half Baked'
All of the colours in the palette are so pigmented and easy to put on, the look afterwards always looks outstanding. I also used the Urban Decay Eden primer to set the shadows. The mascara I used was my daily MAC Dazzle Lash.

So there is my haul!
Speak soon!

Perfecto!

I haven't posted for a week! Eek!
Hello to all my new followers. I really appreciate you all clicking that 'follow' button, means alot!

So...

I bet we all have a slight problem with storing make-up right? In my bedroom when I apply make-up, hair etc, I've got this little unit where the top opens and inside is all my bits and bobs!
Anyway, when I decided I needed some kind of containers, I remembered good ole Muji. You may or may not of heard of this store, but it's honestly great. They do all sorts from clothes, to candles to storage!

Here are some images of the storage containers I bought just the right size for make-up!

  credit; 1, 2

I got those 2 and a few other ones! They were so reasonably priced too, the smaller one was 95p and the larger was £1.95! So good! Therefore I got quite a few! In those two I put lipsticks, eyeliners, mascaras etc.

So, let me show you my make-up storage!

Before and after...

So here is obviously before...
Quite dreadful, that poor make-up!

Taaaaaa-daaaaa! After!
Much better, all organised!

Though I must admit.

I do have another drawer of make-up...

Haul post coming soon showing where I've been spending money that I shouldn't be! x

Monday, May 23

Conscious.

Now, I'm not sure why I'm putting a photo of my face this close and moody on here! But I thought I'd show you my daily make-up...

Sorry for the moody look haha.
Anyway the make-up I'm wearing, and the order I put it on in:

Collection 2000 Lasting perfection concealer - Medium
Foundation: Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua - B30; Sable
Powder: The Body Shop; Loose powder 03
Cheeks/Lips: The Body Shop Lip and Cheek stain, No 17 small little lipgloss? (Can't remember!)
Eyes: Urban Decay Eden Primer, Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner - Zero, MAC Dazzle Lash Mascara

aaaaaand I think that's it? I look so moody ha!

I change my lip colour daily depending on what I'm wearing! Today I'm wearing all black so thought I'd put a bit of a statement colour on!

So! I think that's it on the make-up part!

I've been meaning to ask; What do you think of the new Glossybox?
I'm not sure whether to get it! Normally I'd jump straight to it, but when I weigh up £120 a year for one box a month, I think I could save all that money then buy the make-up I want!

If you don't know what it is, type Glossybox in Google and find out more info!
But for a quick summary;
You pay £10 a month for a box like the picture, in which you receive 5 high end brand products!
Make-up/cosmetics/smellys etc!

Dipping my 'Savings' for Make-up is not good...

Hello! Thank you to all my new followers who have joined my blog recently! I really appreciate it! Knowing that you've all clicked that little button that says 'Follow' means a great deal to me!

So my blog for today; Once again I've been shopping and I really shouldn't have. I've spent money from my savings which is not good and I definately didn't even need any of the things that I bought. But! Like many other shopping addicts, I literally just can't resist!

I decided I wanted to buy a new nail polish, and also wanted to try the, averagely new? Collection 2000 Lasting perfection concealer. I've seen alot of other girls talk about this product on their blogs, so I wanted to see what the hype was about!

You can't really see but on the little black spot in the middle, it states '16 Hour Wear'. My camera decided not to show this!
Now, I must admit, when I see products like this, they are always hard to believe that 8, 12 or 16 hours for a full coverage of make-up, and no top ups necessary, is unbelievable. But deliberation aside, this product is quite true to its words! I dabbed a bit of the product on my nose in the store as my foundation had worn off a little, my shiny nose was peeping through! That was around, 4 o'clock? Now it's 21:19, and my nose is still covered! So, 5 hours later, we're doing well!
I'll try this more tomorrow when I apply my make-up in the morning, but so far so good! I think this is gonna work! The concealer costs around £4 in Superdrug which I think is pretty reasonable. Especially if it stays there for 16 hours!
So all in all, I'm pretty pleased with this buy of the day!

-

My nail polish!
I am quite in love with this colour now I've bought it home! I wasn't too sure what shade I was after, but after seeing this I decided I had to get it!

I took this photo like this just so you could see what it looks like in the bottle. Very pretty! A glittery purpley taupe kind of colour. It's called 'Dusky Mauve 313'

And again this photo so you can see my nails. I haven't cleaned them up yet so they look a bit messy! But I think it's a really lovely colour. As always BarryM polishes cost £2.99, or 2 for £5.00. I only got the one today as I couldn't decide on another!
It's one of those colours that when it catches the sun, it really stands out! Like those cars you sometimes see that change colour! I really like this though. I better get on with the other hand!

-

Now this! I am so annoyed about haha! I was in House of Fraser when I saw this cute little Clinique make-up bag that had all these items inside!

So, the deal is, you buy 2 items from Clinique. A skin care item and anything else, then you get this cute little baby for free!
If only I had bought my Clinique skin care range in House of Fraser. AHHHHH!
I literally think I'm just going to have to buy something on purpose to get this. I know it's not really free as you are still buying 2 products, but it's such good value!

Inside you get: (the bag obviously)
7 day scrub cream rinse off formula - 50ml
Superdefense SPF 25 age defense moisturizer - 15ml
Blended face powder in Invisible blend
High impact Mascara in black
Superbalm moisturizing gloss in grapefruit - 7ml
2 piece brush set: Power and foundation
Plus! Your own choice of superbalanced make-up 15ml in:Vanilla, ivory or sand.

...
So. I'm pretty gutted I didn't see this earlier and get my Clinique stuff in HOF!
Hurry though! The offer ends on the 28th May. (pay day) :D So you know where I'll be on the 28th!

-

Lastly, just thought I'd show you the 2 cute tops I bought from good ole Primark!

Love love love this! The material honestly feels so good, like silk. I think it's the best material I've ever felt in Primark. It's one of those tops that comes up kind of short, so I'll probably wear high waisted shorts with it or a bodycon dress or top underneath! For £5 though! You can't go wrong!

Love this also. £8. Again it's a short body top. Underneath theres a little boob tube/bandeau styled crop top which covers your main area! Then the tassles at the waist just flow down over your belly (if you want it out!)
Personally, again, I think i'll wear this with high waisted shorts or a top underneath so my belly isn't out! But who knows one day I might be feeling brave! Or the weather might be nice!

-

And lastly, I bought this gorgeous scarf for £5 in a random new shop I found!

I don't think this photo does much favours for it, but I love it! It has cream spots with a brown background as you can see. Then a thick strip of cream on one end of the scarf. The material is really light so I'll probably wear this in both summer and winter! Whatever the weather decides to be!

Saturday, May 14

This is getting terrible!

My make-up obsession is getting quite literally terrible. Seeing as I work full time now and travel quite a bit to get to work, I do a fair bit on petrol. So having spare money at the minute is pretty rare! I bought the naked palette a little while ago, and now I've just gone and bought this!

It's all these blogs I keep reading! There a bad influence!
I got a sample of the new Vitalumiere Aqua a little while ago, which I featured in another post. The sample did look pretty tiny and I didn't think I'd get much out of it AT all. But I was wrong! I got a good, 3 full make-up uses out of it. So that was a good thing I found out; It would last long!

If I'm completely honest, I thought this foundation was going to be overrated. But to my surprise it's not. I got a real good coverage with this that lasted all day. I used a translucent power over the top to 'matte' my face. With an added lip stain just over the top of that.
I love make-up that lasts all day, like my 24/7 UB Eyeliner! So this was really good find.
The shade I got in the Chanel foundation was B30 - Sable. The good thing also with this, is that it has SPF 15, so no need for added sun protection as it's already in there!

I got this in John Lewis as they were doing a 10% offer. The foundation normally retails at around £32? I believe. Also, this is a bit cheeky, but my family have a John Lewis card that entitles us to 25% off. So that plus an extra 10% off, was a beautiful 35%!
This is probably making you jealous and I'm sorry but I have to share! So I paid just £21 for this baby. Which I am very happy with.
However, that still is alot of money, and I'm really not one to spend loads on big names of make-up, so this is kinda a second for me!
But I'm so excited to try it out! Especially the fact that it lasts all day and I have no need for top ups!

If you can get a sample of this I honestly would recommend it. I simply just asked for one at my local Chanel counter. The lady at the counter wouldn't budge at first, but after I said I wasn't paying the original £32, she gave me one. I always find their a bit awkward when it comes to asking for samples! (Who knows why!)

I also bought these laaaavly pillows for my room as I'm eventually going to decorate it a light purple! The colour I'm painting is called Dusted Damson.
I bought these 2 pillows from Matalan, 2 for £12! (I put down lingerie for these!)

So, £32 later, those were my buys of the day!
I'm never going to be able to save money with make-up around...

Sunday, May 8

Finally!

So after literally about a year of waiting to get my hands on Urban Decay's Naked palette, I finally got one!
Here is my new babe!

Actually can't believe I've waited so long to get this. It's ridiculous!
I got it at Debenhams for £32. I also got a Beauty club card? Not sure what it is, similar to a Boots card apparently? I've got points on there now so I think I get money off my next purchase, or I can turn the points into money. I'll have to have a read up. It's worth getting one though!

I was gonna do some swatches of the palette but at the moment it looks too good to dent/mess up! I'm sure you all know about this palette anyway! I just wanted to share that I've finally got one after ages!
I must admit, I'm not as bothered about getting it as I thought I would be. I wanted it so much when it first came out, but since I've been waiting forever as it constantly went out of stock, I relaxed about it a bit.

However, it's a great feeling having it in my make up stock!

Cruella 2454

Just thought I'd make another quick post before I go to work! :( I've been sunning it all day and have topped up my tan on top of my Johnson's fake tan ha!
One product that I've been using quite a lot lately is a;

I've been trying to do a swatch of this on my wrist but the photo doesn't look good enough! I got this Pencil in 'Cruella'
At first I wondered how 'matte' the pencil would be as I've never had anything like this before, and it has proven so well. I've never seen a lip pencil so matte.
As I can't find a good enough swatch, I've used a picture from the internet;
I bought this when I used a Groupon code for ASOS. I paid £9 for £20 worth of products.
When I bought this, I never read the description on the website that basically said 'Bright Red'
So when this came in the post I was a bit "uh oh" as it was brighter than I thought.
However I do really like this lip pencil, originally I think the price was around £17.50.
Which to me is a bit pricey, though being on a supposed 'budget' I didn't mind paying £9!

Monday, April 18

Sleeeeeeeeeek

So my purchases from the day, (I didn't even intend buying anything) which I am in love with!...

A Sleek palette! This one is called Storm. I've looked at the range before in Superdrug but never actually bought anything. But since I've been reading other peoples blogs and what not, I thought I might treat myself to one! I saw this one and thought I'd pretty much use all the colours; so I bought it! It was £6.49, which for 12 eyeshadows, I think is pretty good. I did want to try and get the 'Nude'? palette I think it was called but decided on this instead!

Another thing I bought today was a yellow nail varnish. I've wanted one for a little while now and thought, seeing as it's supposed to be summer soon I'll get one! I'm on a bit of a budget as I'm kinda skint at the minute, so I picked up this one from Collection 2000 for £1.79.
I'll pop a picture up when I've got this one on my nails!

The last thing I bought today was some fake tan. I've used this one for ages and have always trusted it as I never get a streaky 'obvious' fake tan look!

Its a Johnson's Holiday Skin body lotion, which 'gradually builds a beautiful, even tan' The shade I got was, medium to dark, as my skin is kind of an olive tone. Plus, I was sunning the other day and half of my body is brown! I thought I better fake the rest of me!
This was only £2.53, half price.

So all in all today, I spent... £10.81. Which I think isn't too bad considering I'm meant to be on a budget...

Tuesday, April 5

Number 2!

Hello again, I'm gonna make 2 posts today!

I have completely forgot about showing this, kind of. My mum and dad went away a month or so to Cyprus, and I cheekily asked if they could get me some makeup in duty free. I wasn't sure what I wanted, so I got some ideas from the internet about some bits and bobs and found the 'MAC Look in a box'
I think there was about 3 to choose from and I decided to ask for 'Rocker chick'
I'll put a photo up, sorry if the quality is bad! (It'd probably be easier to do a video but I'm not quite there yet!)

So this is the box from the outside. It did come smaller than I thought, but then obviously the products inside aren't gonna be jumbo size! So a pretty box I think...

And this is the inside! I think the product was about £40. Which I think is pretty much a bargain considering everything inside comes to about £80?!
So inside there is;

2 eye shadows; Electra Frost and Black Tied Velvet
This photo might look a bit rubbish but from looking at my Macbook that is pretty much what they look like!

Also, a Black Kohl Eyeliner and mascara.
I was a bit weary of trying the eyeliner because I am addicted to the Urban Decay 24/7 liner. I think I'm so obsessed is because it just literally stays on all day so I don't have to worry about topping it up!
When I tried the MAC one, I was a bit disappointed as, by the end of the day after I had gone to work etc, the eyeliner had printed above my eye near my brow bone which was a bit gutting. So, at the moment, Im not quite sure on the eyeliner!

Alot of people have said bad things about MAC mascaras but, suprisingly, I've found this one to be quite good! I suppose it all depends on what you like your eyes to look like, but personally I think it's ok. I won't show a picture of these as it's a bit difficult. I may put a picture of my eye up a bit later!

And lastly, a MAC lipglass and lipstick.

Out of these 2, I'd say Ive used the lipglass more as I am a bit of a junkie when it comes to lipgloss! However the lipstick is still lovely, but I'd say more of a colour for summer!

Evaluating all of this though, try and get your hands on one of these because they are such a good buy!
