This is literally amazing.

I've been looking at a few blogs along with youtube recently and I came across this literally, amazing nail art.
It's called Water Marble.
On youtube, a lovely lady under the name of SimpleLittlePleasures, has been creating these amazing patterns.
So, I thought I'd have a go myself!

So basically, what you do;

Get a cup of water (preferably filtered)
Take some nail polishes, start off with 2 colours
Drip a blob of the nail polishes in the water one after the other
(A target like effect will appear)
Take a cocktail stick
Move the water about creating a pattern
Prep your skin around your nails with tape
Dip your nail into the water and the pattern take effect

and literally, VOILA!
How amazing is that.
I'll post a video of SimpleLittlePleasures, and how she does it here:

Here is my favourite nail I done!

Crazy!
To create my effect, I used BarryM Peach Melba and BeautyUK Pink Explosion

Let me know what you think, or if you have a go yourself!

Conscious.

Now, I'm not sure why I'm putting a photo of my face this close and moody on here! But I thought I'd show you my daily make-up...

Sorry for the moody look haha.
Anyway the make-up I'm wearing, and the order I put it on in:

Collection 2000 Lasting perfection concealer - Medium
Foundation: Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua - B30; Sable
Powder: The Body Shop; Loose powder 03
Cheeks/Lips: The Body Shop Lip and Cheek stain, No 17 small little lipgloss? (Can't remember!)
Eyes: Urban Decay Eden Primer, Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner - Zero, MAC Dazzle Lash Mascara

aaaaaand I think that's it? I look so moody ha!

I change my lip colour daily depending on what I'm wearing! Today I'm wearing all black so thought I'd put a bit of a statement colour on!

So! I think that's it on the make-up part!

I've been meaning to ask; What do you think of the new Glossybox?
I'm not sure whether to get it! Normally I'd jump straight to it, but when I weigh up £120 a year for one box a month, I think I could save all that money then buy the make-up I want!

If you don't know what it is, type Glossybox in Google and find out more info!
But for a quick summary;
You pay £10 a month for a box like the picture, in which you receive 5 high end brand products!
Make-up/cosmetics/smellys etc!

Dipping my 'Savings' for Make-up is not good...

Hello! Thank you to all my new followers who have joined my blog recently! I really appreciate it! Knowing that you've all clicked that little button that says 'Follow' means a great deal to me!

So my blog for today; Once again I've been shopping and I really shouldn't have. I've spent money from my savings which is not good and I definately didn't even need any of the things that I bought. But! Like many other shopping addicts, I literally just can't resist!

I decided I wanted to buy a new nail polish, and also wanted to try the, averagely new? Collection 2000 Lasting perfection concealer. I've seen alot of other girls talk about this product on their blogs, so I wanted to see what the hype was about!

You can't really see but on the little black spot in the middle, it states '16 Hour Wear'. My camera decided not to show this!
Now, I must admit, when I see products like this, they are always hard to believe that 8, 12 or 16 hours for a full coverage of make-up, and no top ups necessary, is unbelievable. But deliberation aside, this product is quite true to its words! I dabbed a bit of the product on my nose in the store as my foundation had worn off a little, my shiny nose was peeping through! That was around, 4 o'clock? Now it's 21:19, and my nose is still covered! So, 5 hours later, we're doing well!
I'll try this more tomorrow when I apply my make-up in the morning, but so far so good! I think this is gonna work! The concealer costs around £4 in Superdrug which I think is pretty reasonable. Especially if it stays there for 16 hours!
So all in all, I'm pretty pleased with this buy of the day!

My nail polish!
I am quite in love with this colour now I've bought it home! I wasn't too sure what shade I was after, but after seeing this I decided I had to get it!

I took this photo like this just so you could see what it looks like in the bottle. Very pretty! A glittery purpley taupe kind of colour. It's called 'Dusky Mauve 313'

And again this photo so you can see my nails. I haven't cleaned them up yet so they look a bit messy! But I think it's a really lovely colour. As always BarryM polishes cost £2.99, or 2 for £5.00. I only got the one today as I couldn't decide on another!
It's one of those colours that when it catches the sun, it really stands out! Like those cars you sometimes see that change colour! I really like this though. I better get on with the other hand!

-

Now this! I am so annoyed about haha! I was in House of Fraser when I saw this cute little Clinique make-up bag that had all these items inside!

So, the deal is, you buy 2 items from Clinique. A skin care item and anything else, then you get this cute little baby for free!
If only I had bought my Clinique skin care range in House of Fraser. AHHHHH!
I literally think I'm just going to have to buy something on purpose to get this. I know it's not really free as you are still buying 2 products, but it's such good value!

Inside you get: (the bag obviously)
7 day scrub cream rinse off formula - 50ml
Superdefense SPF 25 age defense moisturizer - 15ml
Blended face powder in Invisible blend
High impact Mascara in black
Superbalm moisturizing gloss in grapefruit - 7ml
2 piece brush set: Power and foundation
Plus! Your own choice of superbalanced make-up 15ml in:Vanilla, ivory or sand.

...
So. I'm pretty gutted I didn't see this earlier and get my Clinique stuff in HOF!
Hurry though! The offer ends on the 28th May. (pay day) :D So you know where I'll be on the 28th!

-

Lastly, just thought I'd show you the 2 cute tops I bought from good ole Primark!

Love love love this! The material honestly feels so good, like silk. I think it's the best material I've ever felt in Primark. It's one of those tops that comes up kind of short, so I'll probably wear high waisted shorts with it or a bodycon dress or top underneath! For £5 though! You can't go wrong!

Love this also. £8. Again it's a short body top. Underneath theres a little boob tube/bandeau styled crop top which covers your main area! Then the tassles at the waist just flow down over your belly (if you want it out!)
Personally, again, I think i'll wear this with high waisted shorts or a top underneath so my belly isn't out! But who knows one day I might be feeling brave! Or the weather might be nice!

-

And lastly, I bought this gorgeous scarf for £5 in a random new shop I found!

I don't think this photo does much favours for it, but I love it! It has cream spots with a brown background as you can see. Then a thick strip of cream on one end of the scarf. The material is really light so I'll probably wear this in both summer and winter! Whatever the weather decides to be!

This is getting terrible!

My make-up obsession is getting quite literally terrible. Seeing as I work full time now and travel quite a bit to get to work, I do a fair bit on petrol. So having spare money at the minute is pretty rare! I bought the naked palette a little while ago, and now I've just gone and bought this!

It's all these blogs I keep reading! There a bad influence!
I got a sample of the new Vitalumiere Aqua a little while ago, which I featured in another post. The sample did look pretty tiny and I didn't think I'd get much out of it AT all. But I was wrong! I got a good, 3 full make-up uses out of it. So that was a good thing I found out; It would last long!

If I'm completely honest, I thought this foundation was going to be overrated. But to my surprise it's not. I got a real good coverage with this that lasted all day. I used a translucent power over the top to 'matte' my face. With an added lip stain just over the top of that.
I love make-up that lasts all day, like my 24/7 UB Eyeliner! So this was really good find.
The shade I got in the Chanel foundation was B30 - Sable. The good thing also with this, is that it has SPF 15, so no need for added sun protection as it's already in there!

I got this in John Lewis as they were doing a 10% offer. The foundation normally retails at around £32? I believe. Also, this is a bit cheeky, but my family have a John Lewis card that entitles us to 25% off. So that plus an extra 10% off, was a beautiful 35%!
This is probably making you jealous and I'm sorry but I have to share! So I paid just £21 for this baby. Which I am very happy with.
However, that still is alot of money, and I'm really not one to spend loads on big names of make-up, so this is kinda a second for me!
But I'm so excited to try it out! Especially the fact that it lasts all day and I have no need for top ups!

If you can get a sample of this I honestly would recommend it. I simply just asked for one at my local Chanel counter. The lady at the counter wouldn't budge at first, but after I said I wasn't paying the original £32, she gave me one. I always find their a bit awkward when it comes to asking for samples! (Who knows why!)

I also bought these laaaavly pillows for my room as I'm eventually going to decorate it a light purple! The colour I'm painting is called Dusted Damson.
I bought these 2 pillows from Matalan, 2 for £12! (I put down lingerie for these!)

So, £32 later, those were my buys of the day!
I'm never going to be able to save money with make-up around...

Sunday, May 8

Finally!

So after literally about a year of waiting to get my hands on Urban Decay's Naked palette, I finally got one!
Here is my new babe!

Actually can't believe I've waited so long to get this. It's ridiculous!
I got it at Debenhams for £32. I also got a Beauty club card? Not sure what it is, similar to a Boots card apparently? I've got points on there now so I think I get money off my next purchase, or I can turn the points into money. I'll have to have a read up. It's worth getting one though!

I was gonna do some swatches of the palette but at the moment it looks too good to dent/mess up! I'm sure you all know about this palette anyway! I just wanted to share that I've finally got one after ages!
I must admit, I'm not as bothered about getting it as I thought I would be. I wanted it so much when it first came out, but since I've been waiting forever as it constantly went out of stock, I relaxed about it a bit.

However, it's a great feeling having it in my make up stock!

What a way to make a living!

So now I'm a 9-5 girlie, I'm super tired waking up at half 6 every morning! I've gotta start getting used to it! So bare with me if I don't post as often!

My brother just came back from Mexico the other day all tanned and what not. (Completely jealous)
I came in from work and found this on the side!...

Jimmy Choo perfume! I've wanted this since it came out, my brother was the one who told me about it. But obviously being young and spending silly amounts of money I couldn't afford it!
Was super happy when I saw he got it for me! What a lovely sibling!
And best of all, its 100ml! So it's gonna last me a life time!

If you haven't smelt this, you have to.
It's hard to describe it typing, but I honestly love it. I'll try and describe it.
It's sweet, one of those smells that when you walk past someone who's wearing it you can instantly get a woft! I love that. Definately long lasting and strong. My boyfriend loves it!

I think it's similar to Thierry Mugler: Alien and Victor & Rolf: Flowerbomb.
These are 2 other perfumes I have and am completely in love with!

Theirry Mugler: Alien
Another overpowering scent, I've worn this for ages!
Always, always get compliments when I wear this.

Victor & Rolf: Flowerbomb
Again, another strong scent, always get compliments with this too!

Try and smell these if you haven't, they are gorg!

Choo Choo

Heyyyyy
Just a quick post, I'm super tired.
Just found this website which my friend recommended! It's like another blog.

Check mine out here!

Monday, May 2

Oh dear...

So today I decided I needed a new skin care regime. At the moment, literally all I do is moisture, exfoliate rarely, and have the odd face mask now and then. But lately I've been getting really fed up with my skin and little blemishes that seem to pop up. I'm pretty lucky to have clear skin so I don't do too much with it!
I decided that my long loved Garnier day cream is taking the boot. I've been asking some of my friends what skin care they used and how much it costs etc. As I don't wanna spend too much I was looking for something fairly inexpensive!
One of my friends mentioned Clinque. At first I was a bit put off as straight away I knew it would be expensive. But seeing as I was on my way to have a little shop, I dropped in at a Clinique counter, and asked for advice on my skin type.
I've just finished working at The Body Shop, and even though I helped customers with their skin, I don't actually really know what mine is!
So anyway, the lovely Clinique consultant and myself came to the conclusion that I have 'Dry Combination' skin.
So basically, I have a little bit of an oily T-zone, and if I don't moisturise, my face feels tight; therefore 'dry'

(A good tip if you are getting or thinking about a new skin care regime; I went on the Clinique website and took a test about my skin answering different questions. On that I also came to the conclusion that I was 'Dry Combination'
So I did trust the lovely lady at Clinque when she came out with the same result!)

Here's what I bought:

From left to right; Liquid facial soap mild, Clarifying lotion, Dramatically different moisturizing lotion, Moisture surge, Even better and lastly a Vitamin C lip smoothie.

I just realised this post is gonna be really long! Oh dear!

So the first product, (all of which was tested on my hand in the store) Liquid facial soap, basically this is just a soap. It comes out as a gel and all I (you) need is one pump of this baby and it will do your whole face! So that's Step 1.

Step 2: Clarifying lotion. This is like an exfoliator but without the 'bits' It;s a lotion which is particularly different as other exfoliator are normally a cream with beads in them. So this comes after Step 1, these two together basically prep my face for a moisture, by washing and exfoliating my skin back to its normal glory, by getting all the dirt and what not out!

Step 3: Dramatically different moisturizing lotion. I mentioned to the consultant that my skin doesn't get enough high dyration, particularly as I don't drink enough but particularly because I've been using the wrong products in the past. All you (I) need of this is a small pea amount.

So all of this together came to £42.00. I bought of all this in Boots as I knew I'd get points on my card!
I have basically ignored my, 'being on a budget' but I did really need a new regime so I thought I'd treat myself!

The other 3 products? Were all freebies!!!
The Clinque consultant was so lovely. She explained the other products; Moisture surge; this can be used after all 3 steps of my skin regime, or this can be used as a mask overnight. So I literally lay it on and sleep and let it do the work!

'Even better'; I'm really excited to use this, it's a skin tone correcting moisturiser with SPF 20. So firstly 'even better' as it's got SPF 20, but even more better that it's gonna even my skin tone out. I find that just below my nose and above my lip is a different colour than the rest of my face. So if this baby sorts this out, I'll be most pleased!

And lastly, a cheeky lip smoothie. I've never used anything from Clinique make up so I'm excited to see what this is like!

Looking back at the picture, £42, for all of that? I think that's pretty good. And it's literally gonna last for ages as I only need one pump of everything!

I also bought, Cotton pads, Vitamin E tinted moisture lotion, Camomille gentle eye make up remover, a £3 top from H&M and a cheeky sample of Chanel's new Vitalumiere Aqua.

Cotton pads (£2.50) I use all the time to take make up off etc etc!
Vitamin E tinted moisture lotion (£10.00); I've been using this lately instead of my normal foundation as I've caught a bit of a tan and my foundation is a little off from the colour of my tan. This lotion is great for adapting to your skin tone and a great base before using other make up. It's a moisture too so I don't need to moisturise normally before hand. I'd recommend buying this if you're feeling lazy, or going on holiday, or want something to keep in your bag. Let's say it's for 'No make up days'
Camomille gentle eye make up remover (£9.00) This is probably the best eye make up remover that I've ever used. It's so so effortless when trying to take up off. It literally comes off with one wipe with a cotton pad, and leaves me feeling wide awake for my next application of make up. This lasts forever too!
Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua (Sample) I wanted to see what the fuss was with Chanel's new foundation so decided to take a look. I got a skin test and came out with the shade B30 - Beige - Sable. B20 was a little bit too light for me, and seeing as I tan easily, B30 fitted better with my tone. This retails at £30.00, and considering I just spent £42 on skin care I decided I couldn't buy this.
It felt so soft on my face, literally effortless, silky and smooth. It just felt like a really really soft moisturiser. My face didn't feel heavy with make up; So I can see why everyone is rating this lately! I may buy this next time I get paid. At the minute £30 was just a bit too pricey for me!

So that's all I bought!

Do you use Clinque skin care?
What's the new Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua like for you? What shade do you wear?
