Yello

Hello, so here's a post about a cheeky something I bought when I was having a rubbish day! I'm posting this from my phone so don't know what it's gonna look like!
I bought this Christmas palette from Dior for £53. Eek I know! But I was having a rubbish day and thought I'd treat myself!
Isn't it lovely!?

Making a comeback

Hello, I'm back on the scene!

I thought I'd start by writing posts on products I've been using lately and what ones have gradually become favourites!

My everyday lipstick has to be 'Cosmo' by Mac. I bought this ages ago mistaking it for another, but it's safe to say, it's now my 'go to' lipstick when I'm stuck for what colour to wear.

(I never understand what the 'Amplified' bit means :()

For me it's a natural colour, so I'd happily wear it everyday. It's a creamy formula, so doesn't make you get the weird filmy thing on your lips when you've worn lipstick for too long! (know what I mean?)

Birthday Box Ideas

It's one of my friends 21st birthday today so I made her a pressie!
Whether or not this is original, I decided to make her a 'glossy box' stylie birthday box.

If it's easier please feel free to watch my video on how I made the box etc, on YouTube.

I didn't really have budget on how much I was going to spend but considering it was Kate's 21st, I decided it wouldn't really matter how much I'd spend! (hello empty purse!)

So here is how I made the box look like inside!

Alot was stacked on each other as I didn't really have enough room.

Annnnnyyyway, here's the video! For some reason it won't let me put it here, so here's the link!

Guilty Guerlain

I've recently discovered I have an obsession with Guerlain. I never even knew about the brand a couple of months ago and now I'm all over it! Seeing as I work in cosmetics, make up is constantly surrounded by me. Therefore I have more of a chance of wasting my money on more things I don't need. :(
The Terracotta range from Guerlain launched only a little while ago I believe, and these 2 beauties are some of my favourites. So I thought I'd share it with you!

Terracotta Spray; Bronzing Powder Mist.
This is a beautiful (bronzing powder mist) which gives a gorgeous glow. I've used this on my face and top half of my body for when I've been going 'out out'. It gives a lovely tanned, but not too tanned look which looks healthy and sun kissed. I use this also when I think my foundation may look a bit pale, so I just darken it up a little with this! Another advantage with this, is that it's also protecting whilst you wear it, with an SPF of 10. You can get this from John Lewis for £35. (Eek!)

Terracotta; Eau Sous Le Vent
(In a nut shell, this is a Soothing Moisturising Mist/Refreshing Tan Enhancer)
I am yet to use this properly, but it smells just like 'holiday'(I'm sure you know what I mean!)
This is the type of product that, if your laying on the beach and fancy a freshen up, a spritz of this will do just fine. So even though this will 'freshen you up' it's also a tan enhancer. Therefore, you're not just spraying a £34 (Eek) product, you're also getting a benefit from it, so you're sure to enhance a tan!

These two are more than likely going in my bag when I go on holiday next month.
I know some may think it's a bit pricey and I won't lie, they are! But this is all in the name of 'savings'!

left: before the bronze powder mist. right: after
(baring in mind its past 7pm so lighting isn't great!)
But I feel it gives a subtle glow for a tanned effect.

Bourjois 1 Second Nail Dissolvant

So I'm pretty sure the majority of people in the blogging community have seen this baby out and about!
It's the new Bourjois 1 second Nail Polish Remover (sounds unbelievable I know).
I thought I'd do something a little different and video myself removing a polish! Then I feel it seems a bit more believable!
I got this from Boots for £4.99. I'd say a little expensive! But, if it's as easy as it looks then I'm sure I would repurchase it!

Here's the video!;

May wish list

1. Bourjois Smart Nail Polish Remover - I've heard about this non stop on the blogging world so decided that I need to try it asap! You can get this from Boots for £5. If it's as good as everyone is making out, it'll be a god send!
2. Rodial Brazilian Tan - I've been after a new fake tan for summer and whilst browsing at work, I came across Rodial's range. After asking some friends and seeing what they thought of it, I think this is definately one that I need to pick up when I've got a spare few bob!
3. Dior Hydra Life BB Creme - Dior's new BB creme that perfects, protects and hydrates. An all around illuminating moisturiser for the summer! I'm off to Marbs in June so I'm probably gonna pick this up instead of using my normal foundation. (Hopefully I'll have a tan)
4. Guerlain Terracotta Blush  - I've been non stop using the tester of this at work and it's definately going to be a purchase this month. It costs £28 and the shade is in Sunny pink. At the moment I use my beloved Body Shop lip and cheek stain, but this gives a natural summer glow, fit for the weather if it brightens up!
5. Topshop Chiffon Dip Hem Dress - I've been eyeing up every peachy/coral dress I've been seeing at the moment. But I'm in love with this one from Topshop. It looks so girly and cute with the lace at the bottom. I think this would look lovely with some tan coloured boots for the summer.
6. Onepiece - I've decided, I finally need to cave in and get a 'onesie'. My brother has been slouching around in his one for god knows how long. It looks unbelievably comfortable, and the first thing I wanna do when I get in from work is slouch!

Too many eggs

I wasn't that great at posting in my 2 weeks off was I!

I've literally been meaning to buy these 2 products for ages! So finally caved in the other day and treated myself! One is the much known, Bronze Universel from Chanel and the other YSL's Shocking mascara.

This mascara, I think is honestly one of the best I've come across! I am completely in love with it after I got a small sample (hence why I needed to buy it!) I think the mascara is normaly around £23? Though I got it for 10% as John Lewis were on discount! (lovely!)

Here is the result! I love it!

The first time I tried this with the sample, no joke, my Mum actually complimented me on wearing 'false eyelashes' ...she was not to know they were real! The mascara smells gorgeous aswell, like its nourishing the lashes whilst you wear it. I find that my lashes stay elevated all day and I don't really need a top up! This is definately one that is going to stay in my kit!

Next, the gorgeous Bronze Universel or Soleil Tan De Chanel.
I know mostly everyone went crazy about this a year or so back, but back then I wasn't that interested in it. Although working in cosmetics and what not, I decided that I needed to try it. I got one of the girls on the counter to apply it for me. It gave me a gorgeous, healthy summer glow. (I got compliments wearing this too!) Again, I got this for 10% off at £25.74 in the colour Deep Black, but normally its around £28.
I need to post a picture!

Another purchase I got lately was the new lipstick from Dior, called Addict Extreme.

You may remember the other lipsticks from Dior called Addict represented by Kate Moss. But this is their new version that is a lot more vibrant, bolder and colourful. These lipsticks retail at £24.

I got the colour 'Lucky' which is the one that Kate represents on the advert. Its a sweet red/pink colour that is lovely for summer! I find that the lipsticks are moisturising and stay on fairly longer than the old Addict. They are great for a top up in the day time and come in 12 different shades. Starting with light pinks to dark purples, all in vibrant strong shades.

I think that's all my purchases for now! No doubt I would of bought something else in the next 3 days.
Today I've realised that I don't eat a lot of chocolate. Although considering today is Easter Sunday, I have ate a lot! Which has made me realise my body just isn't used to it!

Happy Easter!

Cat with a scarf

Been spending yet again in London. Me and the boyf went to Covent Garden for a bite to eat then got caught up in all the shops spending moola!

Went to Space NK to Nars and popped into the Mac shop. I picked up this lovely Nars long wearing lipgloss which is a gorge colour for everyday or going out! But I'll have to see how long it lasts... This was around £19 I think, and the paint pot was £13.50? I decided to get the black paint pot in 'Blackground' as I just wanted a quick and easy way to get a dark eye!

Here are both swatched! The gloss looks a lovely plum, pinky purple colour, a colour that I would normally wear daily! And the black, just black!

Woopsie

So I've been after a new foundation brush for a little while, and since these babies came out I've been dying to try them but just haven't got round to buying them! So I finally caved in the other day and bought the Core Collection by Real Techniques (Sam Chapman) from Boots.
This was £21.99, plus you get your boots points!

I originally went in for the Stippling Brush as I wanted to apply my foundation more flawlessly. However when I saw the Buffing Brush, I realised it looked more sturdy and would most likely give the finish I was after! The Stippling Brush on its own it £11.99, but because I was undecided I opted for the set which only cost me a tenner more, with a brush I thought would be ideal for moi!

I've used the brush already and can safely say it does an amazing job. I've realised it makes my application of foundation quicker, more flawless and more even. I think I may have officially been put off the cliché foundation brushes!

Also in the set as you can see there is, a pointed foundation brush, a contour brush and a detailer brush. I have yet only used the detailer brush to conceal small areas around my eyes and for those little awkward areas! The contour brush is aimed to use for applying a bit more definition, i.e.; highlight or contouring and obviously the foundation for foundation. Though I reckon the 'point' will come in handy.

Just a little update! I'm off work for ten days now as I have holiday owed! Thank god! So hopefully I'll do a few more posts and get back on the blogging and youtube scene. Hope you're well! Xx
